Leaks and fixture problems
Tell us whether you see a steady drip, water pooling under a sink, a toilet that keeps running, or a drain backing up. Note whether it happens continuously or only when a fixture is used. If a leak causes flooding, stay out of the flooded area and away from electrical equipment. Do not enter water to reach a shutoff or breaker.

Hot water at one tap or throughout the home?
Tell us which taps or showers are affected, whether water still flows, and whether it is cold, lukewarm or runs hot then cold. A hot-water complaint can involve the fixture, plumbing or water-heating equipment; the symptom alone does not identify the repair. Leave heater covers in place and let a technician assess the equipment.

What should I include in my request?
Add when the issue started, whether it is getting worse, and any loss of water or use of a bathroom. For equipment concerns, include its make, model and any displayed code if visible without opening a cover. Have a photo of the affected area or an accessible equipment label ready, if you can take one safely.
